An accomplished sales professional, Cheryl Congdon draws on nearly two decades of experience in the advertising industry. Outside of her professional endeavors, Cheryl Congdon has served as a fundraiser for organizations such as BlindConnect, Inc.

Since its inception in Southern Nevada in 1998, BlindConnect has provided programs for those with vision loss or impairment. Its programs include Angela’s House, a facility that offers the opportunity to develop life skills and to access needed resources in a supportive peer community.

Angela’s House is located inside the RTC Mobility Training Center, which possesses over 14,000 square feet of space that includes two city buses, streets, and buildings to simulate travel experience and to help those with visual impairments to practice their navigation skills. The house itself includes a kitchen, dining room, bedroom, bathroom, and technology lab.

Those who spend time in Angela’s House participate in cooking, cleaning, and other house management chores. They learn more about personal care and moving around with a cane. They also have access to computers and mobile devices to practice their technology skills.
